Maria Hummer was born and raised in Toledo, OH. She earned a BFA in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University in 2008. Before attending LFS she worked as an ESL instructor in Seoul, South Korea, and an AmeriCorps VISTA at the International Institute of St. Louis. In addition to screenplays Maria also writes short stories, and her fiction has been published in The Meadowland Review and Existere.
