About
Terrance Harris grew up in the rural southern community of Martinsville, VA. Praised a “ghost town” in 2010 by The New Yorker, Martinsville was depicted as a prescient example of times to come in small-town USA. Terrance started writing as a way to channel his pain through his art having been oppressed and ostracised as a closeted queer youth in the bible belt. After finishing his studies at Hampden-Sydney College under the tutelage of Professor Shirley Kagan, his goal in life became to make lasting work that tells stories of the evolution through suffering.
